The styles that we saw in New York Fashion Week this year highlight the bright and smooth hairstyles, with free falling hair, but in a controlled way. We also got the chance to see Rodarteon the catwalk, who was inspired by young, strong andindependent women, with a touch of sweetness and innocence.
The designer Sophie Theallet’s show this season included hairstylesthat were very romantic and soft, yet messy. She wanted to show a sort of combination between an average girl and a princess. A typical style in her show was hair tied back in a ponytail, but in a messy way that left streaks of hair hanging down in front of the face.
Designer god Ralph Lauren showed an entirely different style of hair – his models had their hair completely loose, without any kind of hairbands or clips, showing the natural curls and waves. It was a bit like they had just gotten out of bed – a classic “bed head” style. One side of the head could have perfectly smooth hair, while the other was a bit wild and crazy.
